Marriage Licenses issued during June
The following marriage licenses were issued during the month of June:
Herbert Whittaker and Christine Looper; Houston Phillips and Myrtle Looper; Carl Stout and Eunice Swann; Jas. K. Wisdom and Gracie Dean White; Beford Daniel and Mattie Fletcher; C.M. Roberts and Leila Phillips; Arden Bronstetter and Lizzie Holt; Ortha Qualls and Ruth West; J.A. Cobble and Maggie Canon; Geo. McCormick and Melta York; Gorden Gunnels and Mable Pryor; Granville Lowhorn and May Halsel; Truman Reed and Gracie May Webb; Jas. Norris and Alice Hicks; Alonzo Ledbetter and Nola May Smith; Daily Phillips and Eliza Phillips; Ray Hicks and Hassie May Cantrell; and Cordell Jenkins and Marie McDonald.

Overgrown child visits Livingston
The most striking event in Livingston today was the appearance of Beecher Boman of the Sunk Cane community of the Ninth District, who came to Livingston along with his mother, Mrs. Foster Bowman, this being his first visit to his county seat. He is enormous in size for one of his age, being 8 years-old and weighing 122 pounds. He is possessed of intelligence, has a striking personality, and makes good grades in school.

At the age of 10 weeks-old, he weighed 20 pounds and was 21 inches tall.

He had no serious illness. His parents reside in the eastern part of Overton County, 20 miles from Livingston.

Miss Louise Ray marries Mr. Fred Peek
The marriage of Miss Louise Ray and Fred Peek, both of Livingston, was a surprise to many of their friends, being quietly solemnized on Monday, June 29, at the office of the officiating Esquire E.C. Poston in Livingston.

The bride is the attractive daughter of Overton Ray, a highly respected farmer of Livingston. The groom is the son of Colbert Peek, a carpenter and contractor, of Livingston, and is a graduate of the 1936 class of the Livingson High School.

Glasscock & Chilton marriage held Sunday
The marriage of Miss Ezma Glasscock and Martin Chilton, which was solemnized on Sunday, July 5, by Rev. Andrew A. Strode, with only a few of their relatives and friends being present.

The bride is the attractive daughter of Henry Glasscock, a highly respected farmer of the Glasscock Cove in the Fourth District. The groom is the son of James Chilton, a farmer of the Garrett Cove, of the same district. They will make their home in the Allons Community.
