Alpine had as visitors over the week-end from Ashville Farm School
the following prominent men, Dr. H.S. Randolph. Supt. Barnhardt
Larsen, Teacher of Agriculture, and A. Roberts, Teacher of Bible.
Ê Ê With them was Rev. William MeKinley Chaplin at the Ashville
Normal School. These men gave some very interesting addresses while
here.
J.M. Linder and wife, Grady Mullinix, Florence Mullins, and Ruth
Winton from Cookeville, were here Saturday and Sunday.
Ward Copeland has entered T.P.I.
Blane Little came home Saturday from Nashville where he had been
in a hospital for an operation. He is thought to be improving.
Dr. J.H. Miller filed his regular appointment at Joppa Sunday evening.
S.A.D. Smith was over from Livingston Sunday evening to attend
a church officer's meeting.
Clyde York and Hile Robins of Knoxvile visited home folks and friends
here over the week-end. ¥Ê Ê Most of the people who had the flu
are well and not many new cases.
Professors Benton Cantrell and William Klein expect to attend the
Mountain Workers Conference who meets at Knoxville this week.
Several attended church at Paran Sunday morning.
Miss Avo Haney spent the week-end with relatives near Shady Grove.
Mr. and Mrs. Doss Wasson are now residing with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Q.S. McClain.
Mr. and Mrs. Gaskell Warren, had has their guests, Sunday Mr. and
Mrs. Norman Harp, Mr. and Mrs. M.C. Daniels, Mis Iva Jewel Daniels,
Mr. and Mrs. Harve Warren, and Mr. and Mrs. John Thomas Freeman.
Miss OvaÊ Haney visited Miss Ninnie Dishman Sunday afternoon.
Miss Cora and Bertha McClain are spending a few days with their
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Q.S. McClain.
Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Grimsley and son of Cookeville spent the week-end
with her mother, Mrs. Laura Ova Thompson.
Mr. and Mrs. Gaskell Warren had as thier guests Sunday evening
Claude Daniels, Dennie Poston, Joe Wiggans, and Norma and Lester
Poston.
