JANICE ROSE BROWN
Funeral services for Mrs. Janice Rose Brown, 58, of Nashville, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2005, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.

Burial was in Holly Springs Cemetery with Bro. Bobby Gore officiating.

Mrs. Brown died Tuesday, January 11 at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage. She worked with school patrol for Metro and was a member of Chapel Avenue Church of Christ.

Born December 8, 1946, in Overton County, she was the daughter of Wilma (Gore) Hooks of Hilham and the late Hasker Hooks.

Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, Raymond E. Brown of Nashville; two sons, Mike Brown and his wife, Cathy, and Robert Brown, all of Nashville; two brothers, Donald Hooks of Cookeville and Jimmy Hooks of Livingston; a sister, Brenda Harris of Rickman; and a grandson, Benjamin Brown.

Pallbearers were Ben Brown, James Brown, Jamie Harris, Joey Harris, Ray Brown, Nick Compton, Mike Allen, and Steve McQuery.

OLA JENNELL KEY
Funeral services for Miss Ola Jennell Key, 70, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2005, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.

Burial was in Hanging Limb Cemetery with Rev. Donald Cobb officiating.

Miss Key died Friday, January 14 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a retired secretary and a member of First Baptist Church in Livingston. Born October 29, 1934, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Elbert and Martha Ann (Norrod) Key.

Survivors include a brother, James Key of Ludingston, MI; two sisters, Frances Key of Livingston and Betty Norrod of St. Clair Shores, MI; three nieces; and a nephew.

SHERWIN PHILLIPS
Funeral services for Mr. Sherwin Phillips, 36, of Monterey, were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2005, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey.

Burial was in Welch Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Randy Roberson officiating.

Mr. Phillips died Monday, January 10 at his home. He was employed at Phillips Metals in Cookeville as a supervisor. He was also an avid deer hunter, a member of the NRA, and a member of Calfkiller Hunting Club.

Born December 19, 1968, he was the son of Barnus Phillips of Monterey and Dean (Harville) Odom of Tennessee Ridge.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a son, William Phillips of Monterey; a daughter, Chelsea Phillips of Monterey; his paternal grandmother, Beaulah Phillips of Monterey; a sister, Connie (Phillips) Parrott of Erin; a niece; and a nephew.

ELVER C. PIERCE
Funeral services for Mrs. Elver C. Pierce, 85, were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, January 17, 2005, from the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Livonia, MI.

Burial will be today, Wednesday, January 19 in Campground Cemetery in Overton County.

Mrs. Pierce died Friday, January 14 in Madison Heights, MI.

She was born June 28, 1919, in Hilham. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dale Wiles; her second husband, James Pierce; and a brother, Carl Stout.

Survivors include a son, Fred Wiles and his wife, Yvonne; four grandchildren, Fred Wiles Jr., Wendy Wiles, Daniel Wiles, and Christina Wiles; four great grandchildren, Melissa, Michael, Alyssa, and Rebekah; and a niece, Carlena Taylor.

INA ELIZABETH WARDEN
Funeral services for Mrs. Ina Elizabeth Warden, 101, of Livingston, were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, January 17, 2005, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.

Burial was in Smith Chapel Cemetery in Jackson County, with Bro. Aron Dillon officiating.

Mrs. Warden died Friday, January 14. She was a housewife and was affiliated with the Church of Christ.

Born September 26, 1903, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late William and Manda (Dickerson) Underwood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Lee Warden; two sons, Lonzie Warden and Paul Warden; a daughter, Clara Dimple Bilbrey; three brothers, Frank Newberry, Fate Newberry, and Cramp Underwood; and a sister, Maggie Talley.

Survivors include two daughters, Bobbie Ramsdell of Livingston and Kathleen Matthews of Palm Coast, FL; 15 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were David Keen, Jamie Rush, Gordy Treece, Howard Seeley, Carl Davis, and Matt Davis.
