The work of pouring the concrete for the forms of the foundation of the Livingston City and Fire Hall has begun and the work of excavation for the large basement is well underway.

The building will be built of native stone, quarrled near Livingston, and will house the fire department and provide offices for the mayor and aldermen, and the town marshall. It is located on the northwest corner of the public square.

The work is being done under a WPA project.
