Marriage Licenses issued in September
Marriage licenses were issued by H.C. Swallows, county court
clerk for Overton County, for the month of September. They were
as follows: Eli Holt and Rachel Nash; James C. Davis and Blanche
Lansden Shepherd; Ernest Masters and Anna Mai Gore; Porter Reagan
and Florence Crawford; U.J. Ledbetter and Vada Webb; Clyde McDonald
and Minnie Huddle-ston; Hanson Carr and Lesby Barlow; and Carl Stockton
and Nettie McCormick.
Doak Fiveash and Carl Ledbetter were in Nashville Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Haskell White are visiting relatives in Knoxville.
Edison Smith and Douglas White were in Nashville Tuesday.
A.B. Phillips, of Crawford, was in town Saturday on business.
Mr. and Mrs. Doak Dickerson are the proud parents of a baby boy.
Dudley Coleman was here Monday and had his tonsils removed.
Mrs. Sid Almonrode took dinner with Mrs. Clara Webb Sunday.
J.D. Coleman, of Taylor's Cross Roads, was in Livingston Friday.
Miss Martha Gates, of Celina, visited Miss Jessie L. Dale Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Pless Huddleston attended the State Fair Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Bowan and children were in Ravencroft Sunday.
