Twenty-four marriage licenses were issused by County Court Clerk, H.C. Swallows, during the month of July. They are:
Ernest B. Hammons and Onsby Upton; Elvin Rain and Effie Lynch; Haskell Gore and Maxine Warren; Montie Eldridge and Elise Qualls; Paul Bullock and Jimmie Allred; Reis Mead Hilliard and Jean Trigg; Robert Speakerman and Octavia Scott Myers; Preston Ledbetter and Ellen Lusk; Charlie Leach and Annie Mae Garrett; Thurston Stont and Allne Cooper; J.C. Bilbery and Auda Denton; Walter Allred and Fannie Belle Boswell; J.B. Phillips and Rosa Looper; George Vaughn and Stella Padgett; Odell Neal and Dean Smith; Dayton Johnson and Thelma Dale; S. Baxter Smith and Elise Smith; Mitchell Ferrell and Anna Bilbrey; Tom Sells and Effie King; Alton Morgan and Eunice Lawson; Lee Qualls and Lena Smith; Carl Christian and Marietta Bilbrey; and Curtis Lee Johnson and Veachel Stephens.

Bates Neely, of Crossville, is spending the week with Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Gore. Mrs. Walter Bilbrey and children visited Mrs. Calvin McDonald last Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Oren Huddleston and children spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. F.C. Ledbetter.

Charlie Maddux visited Shirley Sullivan, who is very ill, Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Mack McDonald spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Calvin McDonald.

Rev. Jessie Hawkins is holding a revival meeting in Bethlehem.

Mrs. William Davis is having her teeth removed.

Mrs. Herschel Little and children visited her mother, Mrs. Charlie Maddux, Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Archie Ledbetter and children spent Thursday and Friday night with Mr. and Mrs. Will Warden.

Mrs. Dessie Brooks and cildren spent Sunday night with her sister, Mrs. Calvin McDonald.

Little Johnnie Warden is spending the week-end with her sister, Mrs. Otis Ledbetter.

Mrs. Casper Bowman visited her mother, Mrs. Billie Ledbetter, Sunday evening.

Miss Allie Maynord was hostess of a well planned luncheon Friday at her home on West Main Street.

Seated at the table with Miss Maynord were Mrs. Hugh Crawford of Memphis, Mrs. Paul Capps of Nashville, and Mrs. C.D. Mitchell.
