Paul Livingston, Parker Nivens, Ina and Willie Nivens visited Lucille Davis Friday night.

Aunt Bet Carmack had a wood cutting Monday.

Winson Ledbetter started a singing school at Mt. Gilead last Monday. Everyone come!

Mrs. Benton Deck is suffering from an attack of gall stones.

Miss Estelle Boles, of Alpine, was recently elected secretary of the Home Economics Club of Berea College. Miss Boles, a senior in the college department, is prominent on the campus for her leadership in many campus activities. She belongs to Pi Mu Lambda, WomenÕs Literary Society, Philosophy Club, Ag-Home Ec. Club, and YWCA.

Nine marriage licenses were issued by H.C. Swallows, County Court Clerk for Overton County, for the month of January. They are:
