Cora Grace Duke

Jason and Tonia Duke, of Livingston, proudly announce the birth of their daughter, Cora Grace, who arrived at 10:14 p.m. Friday, April 16 at Livingston Regional Hospital.

She weighed 10 lbs. 2 oz. and measured 22 inches in length.

She is the granddaughter of Bob and Mary Howell of Allred and Earl and Mildred Duke of Old Hickory. She is the great granddaughter of Rubye Howell of Allred and Vernon and Meekle Boswell of Allred.

Also welcoming home the new arrival were her big brothers, Emery, 6, and Carter, 3.

 

Ella Taylor McHenry

Lynn and Gina McHenry, of Baxter, proudly announce the birth of their daughter, Ella Taylor, who arrived March 11, 2004, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

She weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. and measured 21 inches in length.

Her grandparents are Claude and Carolyn McHenry of Baxter and Ralph and Susan Barnes of Livingston. She is the great granddaughter of Ora Palmer of Baxter.

Weddings

Miss Pugh and Mr. Clough exchange vows in February

A bridal brunch was given for Ashley (Pugh) Clough, bride of Adam Clough, on March 28 at the home of Jack and Eleanor Langford.

The newlyweds were married on February 4 and are making their home in Johnson City, where the groom is in sales and plans to continue his education.

He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. John Clough of Livingston.

 

Engagements

Ms. Hurt-Roberts and Mr. Conatser to exchange wedding vows on May 8

Ms. Machelle Hurt-Roberts and Mr. Douglas Melvin Conatser proudly announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mike and Jerolyn Roberts of Cookeville. She is the granddaughter of the late Woodrow and Dena Thompson and Vestel and Anna Roberts.

She is a graduate of Cookeville High School.

The future groom is the son of Melvin and Willie Conatser of Rickman. He is the grandson of Helen Conatser of Jamestown and the late Willie and Emma Beaty.

He is a Livingston Academy graduate.

The wedding will take place on Saturday, May 8 at 2 p.m. at Standing Stone State Park.

 

Miss Walker and Mr. Sims to unite in matrimony May 22

Vivian Dillon, of Cookeville, and David and Terry Walker, of North Carolina, proudly announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Tara Nicole, to Mark Carter Sims, son of Dale and Brenda Sims, of Sparta.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Todd and Betty Jolley of Livingston and Elwood and Genevie Walker of Allons.

She is a 2000 graduate of Livingston Academy and is enrolled at Sanford Brown University in Atlanta, GA.

Upon completion of her studies this September, she plans to return to Cookeville and work as a cardiac sonographer at Upper Cumberland Cardiology.

The future groom is the grandson of Joe B. and Virginia Sims of Sparta and Zelma Roller of McMinnville.

A 2001 graduate of White County High School, he completed a contractor's course in 2003 at Tennessee Technology Center at Livingston. He is employed with McClain Contractors in Sparta.

The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 22 at Central Church of Christ in Sparta.

All friends and relatives are invited.
