1935 Tags go on Sale in December
H.C. Swallows, county court clerk, received information from J.C.
Baxter, supervisor of the Motor Vehicle Division as follows:
"Commissioner Fort and I have discussed the matter of placing
1935 tags on sale in December. We have decided the everybody concerned
will profit by waiting until after the Legislature passes on the
price and expiration date for the year 1935 before placing them
on sale. Please explain this to the parties interested in securing
1935 license plates."

Information has just been received by Mrs. Eliza Sparkman Hart,
relating the death of her brother-in-law, George Floyd Deck, which
occurred October 21, at his home at Durant, OK. He had been ill,
bedfast most of the time, for the past six month.
He was a native of the Highland vicinity of the Fifth District,
of this county, being a son of the late John and Lucy Speck Deck;
and was 68 years-old.
He is survived by his wife and three children, two sons, and one
daughter, Casto Deck of Beverly Hills, CA, Dewey Deck of Durant,
TX, and Ola, and two brothers, and four sisters.

Mrs. Wells Thomas and children, Billie and Nellie Francis, visited
her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. J.A. Gore, Saturday night.
