Mr. and Mrs. Palo Brown, of Allons, are the proud parents of a baby girl.

A decoration was held at the Millow graveyard Sunday, May 27, at 10 o'clock.

Lots of families are moving to Twinton where they have positions.

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Johnson and children and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Johnson and daughter, Geraldine, have gone to Leona, VA, to live.

Auda Whited, of Alpine, has been visiting Opal Owens.

Clara Ledford is visiting her aunt, Mrs. Tim Allred, at Allred.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Brannon are the proud parents of a baby boy.

Shirley Williams and Mrs. Nora Lee Harris were married last Thursday afternoon. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Will Jackson.

Mr. and Mrs. Gillis Allred have a new baby boy.

Mabel and Grace Bilbrey, of Wilder, visited their aunt, Mrs. Luther Brannon, last Thursday and Friday.

Vonda Garrett spent one night last week with Bennie Gene Clark.

ODD BUT TRUE Children grow faster in the fall than in the spring.

Mrs. Clarence Flowers is sick with the measles.

Teachers Selected For Pickett County
Byrdstown Pickett County Board of Education met in session here Thursday and placed teachers for the coming school year, 1934 35. The places and the teachers that were elected to that place are as follows:

Red Hill - Maude Huddlestown, principal, and May Hassler, assistant. Chanute G.R. Harris, principal, and Vincie Craig, assistant.

Moodyville - Taskel Rich, principal, and Christine Groce, assistant.

Plaingrove - Norman Hill, principal, and Loyd Keisling, assistant.

Smyrna - M.H. Huddleston, principal, and Wonna Williams, assistant.

Bloomington - L.B. Hassler, principal, and Vera May Groce, assistant.

Lovelady - Hattie Pendergrass, principal, and Opal Sells, assistant.

Byrdstown - Rich Groce, principal, Ogle Crisp, I.B. Jones, and Nell Groce, assistants.
