C&H Food Mart placed third in the 19 and Under Slow Pitch Softball
World Series held recently in Pigeon Forge. Teams came from a variety
of Southern states. Team members are, front row from left, Coach

Golf tourney to be held
at Ironwood
The Advocacy and Resources Corporation of Cookeville will be holding
its second annual golf tournament to raise money for, as well as
awarness of, its Mentoring Program and other childrenŐs services.
The tournament is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 23 at Ironwood Golf
Course and will kick off at about 7:30 a.m.
The tournament will be in the four-man scramble format, with an
entry fee of $200. Flights are based on teams.
Cash prizes will be awarded for the first three places in each
flight, and various prizes awarded for those hitting closest to
the pin.
The Advocacy and Resources Corporation serves 15 counties in the
Upper Cumberland area.
