Copeland moves to 9-1 in Babe Ruth

Copeland Trucking remained the top team in Overton County Babe Ruth by moving to 9-1 with a win last week.

The league will have an awards ceremony at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 21 at the Babe Ruth field in Livingston City Park. League champions, All-Stars, and individual award winners will be recognized.

In last week's play, Livingston Family Dentistry improved to 7-2 with an 8-1 win over Dale Hollow Power Sports on Monday, June 9. Justin Bledsoe had 2 hits to lead LFD.

In the nightcap, Union Bank & Trust nipped Mark White Tire 6-4. B.J. Presley and Andrew Dixon each scored twice to lead UB&T.

On Friday night, June 13, Mark White Tire defeated Byrdstown Medical Center 9-3. Anthony Matthews pitched three strong innings to notch the win. Brett Roddy continued his hot hitting with 2 base hits for Byrdstown.

In Friday's second game, Union Bank & Trust won over Dale Hollow Power Sports 13-2. Josh Garrett had 3 hits to lead Union Bank.

The first game on Saturday, June 14 saw American Bank & Trust lose to Dale Hollow Power Sports by forfeit.

In the second game, Copeland Trucking squared off against Union Bank & Trust. Cody Winton, Jamie Vaughn, and Matt Lee each had 2 hits as CTI prevailed 4-2.

Byrdstown Medical Center defeated Mark White Tire 14-3 in Saturday's final game. Adam Amonette scored 4 runs to lead Byrdstown.
