Scott and Kelli Ray, of Allons, proudly announce the birth of their son, Joseph Scott, who was born September 1, 2003, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He weighed 7 lbs. 4 oz. and measured 19.25 inches in length.

His grandparents are Michael and Jane Ray of Allons, and Linda Dickerson, Vernon Dickerson, Bill and Bonnie Ed-monds, and Glen and Nell Dickerson, all of the Hardy's Chapel Community. He is the great grandson of L.H. Ray of Allons, the late Bernadine Ray, and Ben and Ava Lee Hawkins. He is the nephew of the late Josh Dickerson.

Also welcoming home the new arrival were his big sister, Kayln, and his big brother, Cody.


Jared Robert-Paul Ruiz and Jennifer Leanne Ruiz, of Hilham, proudly announce the birth of their daughter, Emma Leann Zeoli-Ruiz, who was born November 10, 2003 at Centennial Hospital in Nashville. She weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz. and measured 19.75 inches in length.

Her grandparents are Barbara Zeoli of Hilham, Charles Zeoli of Pomono, CA, Margaret Clark of Norco, CA, and Mark Buscher of Hilham. She is the great niece of Michael Horvatin of Livingston and the niece of Crystal Gallagher of Riverside, CA, and Samantha Messmore of Hilham.

Miss Worley and Mr. Groce exchange wedding vows November 19

Miss Julie Worley became the bride of Mr. Johnny Groce on November 19 in the chapel of First United Methodist Church in Livingston. Pastor Craig Green officiated the ceremony.

The bride is a family nurse practitioner at Medical Arts Clinic in Livingston, and she serves on the clinical faculty at Tennessee Technological University College of Nursing in Cookeville.

A native of Illinois, she has resided in Overton County for the past nine years.

The groom is a contractor and the owner of Heavenly Creations Landscaping and Fencing. He is a native of Putnam County.

In attendance at the wedding were the couple's children, David and Nadine Worley, both age 7, and Caitlin Groce, age 7. Rick and Donna Cross and Jodi Cates Allen were also in attendance.

After the ceremony, the couple spent their honeymoon in a cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia.



Miss Curtis and Mr. McCormick to exchange wedding vows Dec. 20

Charles and Sharon Curtis, of Rickman, proudly announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Courtney, to Brad McCormick, son of Keith and Gail McCormick, of Allons.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Estes and June Speck of Livingston, Wilkie Curtis of Rickman, and the late Horace Curtis.

She is a 2000 graduate of Livingston Academy and a senior at Tennessee Technological University. She is employed at The Physical Medicine Center.

The future groom is the grandson of Willa Dean Seber, Marie McCormick, the late Loyd Seber, and Arvis McCormick.

A 1998 graduate of Livingston Academy, he received his bachelor of science degree from Tennessee Technological University in May 2003.

He serves as a corporal for the Marine Reserves in an infantry unit based out of Nashville. He is also employed at Tennessee Farm Bureau as a claims adjuster.

The couple will exchange vows at Netherland Church of Christ in Rickman on Saturday, Dec. 20 at 2 p.m.

All family and friends are invited to attend.
