DORA LEE HOLIFIELD STEWART
Funeral services for Mrs. Dora Lee (Holifield) Stewart, 61, of Cookeville,
will be conducted at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, June 18, 2003, from
the chapel of Castlewood Funeral Home in Castlew
Mrs. Stewart died Friday, June 13 at Cookeville Regional Medical
Center. She was retired from Chrysler Corporation and attended Washington
Avenue Baptist Church.
Born June 17, 1941, in Dickenson County, VA, she was the daughter
of the late Paul and Bessie (Mann) Holifield. In addition to her
parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph Holifield,
Howard Holifield, and Radford Holifield; and two sisters, Daffine
Cooper and Edith Cornett.
Survivors include her husband, Earl Ray Stewart of Cookeville;
a step-son, Robert "Bob" Stewart of Signal Mountain; two
step-daughters, Rhonda Stewart of St. Clair Shores, MI, and Mary
Beth Shirley of Cookeville; a brother, Thomas Holifield of Warren,
MI; a sister, Alma Phillips and husband, Andy, of Castlewood; five
grandchildren; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews. Mrs. Stewart's
nephews served as the pallbearers.

CORA D. VAUGHN
Funeral services for Mrs. Cora D. Vaughn, 77, of Livingston, were
conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2003, from the chapel of
Rickman-Hall Funeral Home. Burial was in Highland Mountain Cemetery
with Jerry Harris and Ovle Tinch officiating.
Mrs. Vaughn died Saturday, June 7 at Cookeville Regional Medical
Center. She retired from Gobles Nursing Home in Indiana after working
there for 25 years. She was a very special person, and she loved
and cared for every person she knew.
rn June 29, 1925, in Brotherton, she was the daughter of the late
Albert and Argen Texas (Haney) Mansell. In addition to her parents,
she was preceded in death by four brothers, Riley Mansell, Wesley
Mansell, Mayford Mansell, and Littleton Mansell; and two great granddaughters,
Cassandra Priest and Victoria Schmitt.
Survivors include her husband, Oren Vaughn of Livingston; three
sons, James Vaughn of Anderson, IN, Dalles Vaughn of Moonville,
IN, and Billy Vaughn of Livingston; a daughter, Susie Miller of
Allen Town, PA; a brother, John Mansell of Rock Island; 10 grandchildren;
and 22 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Willard Mansell, John
Mansell, Kenneth Mansell, Bill Vaughn, Johnny Mansell, and Kristian
Mansell.

BETHEL G. WILLIAMSON
Funeral services for Mr. Bethel G. Williamson, 83, of Monroe, were
conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2003, from the chapel of Speck
Funeral Home. Burial was in Green Hill Cemetery with Rev. Newsome
Harvey officiating.
Mr. Williamson died Tuesday, June 3 at Livingston Regional Hospital.
He was an electronics repairman and a member of Cave Springs Cumberland
Presbyterian Church in Alpine.
Born May 13, 1920, in Overton County, he was the son of the late
Thomas and Ella (Crawford) Williamson. In addition to his parents,
he was preceded in death by a son, Bill Williamson.
Survivors include his wife, Arta Williamson of Livingston; two
granddaughters, Kim and Patty; and several nieces and nephews
