damages mobile home in Livingston Sunday

Livingston fire and police personnel responded to
a fire at the home of Mark and Margarite Evans on Miller Street
around 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21. According to Livingston Fire
Department, one of the couple's three children was apparently playing
with matches or a cigarette lighter and set fire to a trash can
in the bedroom. The fire was contained to the bedroom area. The
home sustained smoke and heat damage.

Body
found in Hilham area Monday
A body believed to be the remains of Anthony S. Belli,
34, was found on property belonging to the Belli family off Upper
Hilham Road on Monday, Sept. 22. Overton County Sheriff's Department
was dispatched to the scene around 1 p.m. Monday, and personnel
with Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Tennessee Medical
Examiner's Office came to the scene Tuesday, Sept. 23 to further
investigate. The Sheriff's Dept. would not speculate as to the identity
of the body, which was in an advanced state of decomposition. An
autopsy is expected to positively identify the remains. A missing
person report had reportedly been filed in mid-August concerning
Belli.

Two
Jamestown men killed in head-on collision Friday

Two Jamestown men died after a head-on collision on
Highway 52 around 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19. According to reports,
a 1976 Chevrolet pick-up was travelling east toward Jamestown when
it crossed into the westbound lane into the path of a 2001 Advance
concrete truck owned by IMI. The pick-up driver, Chris A. Brown,
23, was flown by helicopter to Erlanger Hospital, where he later
died. A passenger in the pick-up, Jackie C. Cooper, 19, was pronounced
dead at Livingston Regional Hospital. The concrete truck driver,
Christopher A. Brown, 44, of Monterey, was apparently uninjured.
Trooper Darryl Winningham of Tennessee Highway Patrol investigated
the incident.
