Planning
Commission meeting held
By DEWAIN E. PEEK, OCN staff
Livingston Planning Commission voted Monday, March
24 to recommend the first phase of proposed annexations to the Town
of Livingston.
The areas included in the first phase include Carr
subdivision and other areas close to the town.
A site plan was approved for Livingston DCS to build
in a C-3 district off of North Church Street.
A site plan was approved for Robert Jolley to build
a multi-use retail facility off of East Main Street.
Property between Oak Street and 4th Street was approved
to be subdivided.
Bob Shartrand addressed the Commission about lighting
in the town. He suggested the Planning Commission consider lighting
regulations to give the town a softer, more comfortable look and
feel overall, as opposed to the harsh bright lights in some areas.
He said sometimes a softer glow can be created by shrouding the
light source.
The meeting adjourned.
