August Marriage Licenses

Clio Cole and Dorothy McAlpine were married in Byrdstown last Saturday
afternoon. The groom is the son of Antne Cole, of Allons. The bride
is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.V. McAlpine. She has been assisting
Mrs. Fannie Pemberson as operator at the central office of the Southern
Continental Telephone Company.
The Future Farmers gave a watermelon feast last Friday evening
on the ball field at Livingston Academy.
Mae Little is visiting relatives in Nashville.
Mr. and Mrs. Bush Taylor have moved to the house recently occupied
by Chas P. Gray.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bilbrey have returned from Clarkrange to their
home in Rickman.
Mr. and Mrs. Novel Matthews were in town Saturday.
Albert Lee Weilman spent the weekend with Clyde Warren.
Mr. and Mrs. Booze Nivins are the proud parents of a baby girl,
named Mary Elizabeth.
Beecher Harp's barn is Paran caught on fire Saturday morning,
but the flames were extinguished before much damage was done.
Alma Qualls was shopping in Cookeville Wednesday.
John L. Means, of Livingston R.4, is visiting in Anderson, IN.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee McCormick are the proud parents of a baby girl
born on the 2nd of September. She has been named Anna Joyce.
Mrs. Mose Seber celebrated her 74th birthday August 23.
Estil Reagan has returned to his home in Memphis.
Miss Mattie Zachary and Doak Dickerson motored to Albany, KY, Sunday
and were married.
