Prof. Silvio Lalama has been hired as the Livingston Concert Band Director and Instructor.

By a vote of 22 to 11, the Senate Wednesday passed a house-approved bill to legalize 3.2 percent beer in Tennessee. The state has been bone-dry since 1909.

Albert Gore, nephew of C.C. Gore of Livingston, was elected County Superintendent of Public Schools for Smith County on Monday, April 3rd.

Miss Lee Johnson, 24, died April 7th, as the result of burns received on April 2nd, when her clothing caught fire and burned her body. She was the daughter of the late James Johnson.

Milton Bilyeu, of Byrdstown, was in Livingston Wednesday.

Lloyd Halle has returned from Gainesboro and is at work again at JohnsonÕs Grocery.

Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Mofield are the proud parents of a baby boy.
