Robert Horton and Percy Hill have opened a new cafe, known as H&H Cafe on Main Street and the square.

Mrs. J.E. Smith, who has been spending a few days with her mother, Mrs. Martha C. Fleming, and her sister, Mrs. B.H. Hunt, left Monday morning for her home in Denton, TX. She travelled by plane from Sky Harbor to Dallas, TX.

Miss Orpha Poston is recovering form the flu.

Miss Ida Garrett, of Cedar Grove, was the week-end guest of Mrs. Dewey Vance.

Mrs. J.P. Dennis, of Algood, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O.N. Coleman, of Smith's Chapel. ¥ Mr. and Mrs. Bill McCormick and little daughter, Betty June, and Mrs. Charlie Spurrier, and daughter, Betty Jo, visited Mr. and Mrs. Sam Poore Sunday.

Mrs. G.L. Matthews is in Celina with her sister-in-law, Mrs. Joe Walker, who is seriously ill.

Thomas Wolf, of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA, is visiting his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Edd Winton, of Livingston R-4.

Miss Lurline Courr spent the week-end with home folks.

Mildred Willeford and Carson Wright, of Livingston, were married Sunday, December 25, at 9:30 a.m. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Willeford, of Algood. The groom, a builder by trade, has been connected with Foster & Creighton, of Nashville, for the past two years and is on a job in West Tennessee, near Covington, where the couple will reside.

Mrs. Worth Crowley and little son have returned to their home in Smithville after spending several days with her mother, Mrs. W.R. Officer.

Francis Officer, daughter of the late Chancellor, W.R. Officer, married Enloe Speck during the holidays.

Haskell Beeland, Fred White, and C.C. Gore attended the tobacco sale at Carthage.

Full fashion, extra-good hose at Fleming & Myers, at 69¢ pair.

Mrs. Delia Woods, of Rickman, was the dinner guest Saturday of Mrs. J.A.M. White.

Cabin in the Cott'nÓ will be shown at the Dixie Theatre January 19 and 20.

Hubert Ogletree, sick with the flu, is reported better.
