Miss Tipton and Mr. Stockton to unite in marriage October 19

Miss Maggie Tipton and Mr. Jeff Stockton will exchange wedding vows at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 at Patton Chapel, located on the campus of University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Zeanah of Chattanooga and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Tipton of Spring, TX. She is the granddaughter of Mildred P. Tipton and Henry Smith, both of Chattanooga, the late Kenneth Tipton, and Della Mae Smith.

She is a 1995 graduate of Hayfield Secondary High School in Alexandria, VA, and received a bachelor of arts degree in Academic Psychology from University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1999. She is a medical care manager for Chattanooga-Hamilton County Health Department.

The future groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Stockton of Livingston. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Stockton of Livingston, Edna Holt of Tullahoma, and the late William H. Holt Sr.

He is a 1995 graduate of Livingston Academy and received a bachelor of science degree in Business Administration from University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1999. He is a sales representative with R.J. Young Company in Chattanooga.

A reception will immediately follow the ceremony at Fairyland Club on Lookout Mountain.

After the wedding, the couple plans to reside in Chattanooga.

 

Ms. Mathis and Mr. Baker to exchange vows September 7

Ms. Kathy Mathis, of Livingston, and Mr. Fred Baker, formerly of Kentucky, will exchange wedding vows at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7 at Christ Church Presbyterian in Alpine.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Dean Copeland of Monroe and the late Fred Boles. She is the granddaughter of the late George and Delpha Crabtree and Argle and Della Boles.

She is a 1988 graduate of Livingston Academy and a 2000 graduate of Tennessee Technology Center at Livingston. She is employed as a cosmetologist at Evolutions Salon in Livingston.

The future groom is the son of Larry and Peggy Baker of Byrdstown. He is the grandson of Fred and Hester Baker of Dorton, KY, Naomi McPeek of DeTour Village, MI, and the late Ernest France.

He is a 1998 graduate of Transylvania University in Lexington, KY, and a 2001 graduate of University of Tennessee College of Law in Knoxville. He is employed as an attorney at Wimberly, Lawson, Seale, Wright, & Daves in Cookeville.

All friends and family are invited to attend the ceremony.

 

Miss King and Mr. Roberts united in marriage June 19

Miss Rachel Niccole King of Lancaster became the bride of Airman 1st Class Jimmy R. Roberts, Jr., of Silver Point on Wednesday, June 19 in Wichita Falls, TX.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terry King of Lancaster and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Watts of Gordonsville, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sircy of Hickman, and Mr. James H. King of Centerville. She is the great granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Harp of Lafayette, and Mrs. Jilson Sircy of Hickman.

She is a 2000 graduate of Gordonsville High School and attended Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, she will continue her studies in Italy. She is employed at Center Hill Marina.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy R. Roberts of Silver Point and the grandson of Reba Roberts of Silver Point, Louise Judd-Copeland of Rickman, and the late Herbert Roberts and William F. “Bill” Judd, and the step grandson of the late Thomas L. Copeland. He is a 1998 graduate of Upperman High School.

He recently enlisted in the United States Air Force, completing Basic Military Training at Lackland AFB, TX. He also completed the Electrical Power Production course at Sheppard AFB, TX, and is now assigned to the 603rd Air Control Squadron at Aviano Air Base, Italy.

 

 

Miss Hargis and Mr. Neely to exchange wedding vows Sept. 28

Miss Michele Hargis of Monroe and Mr. Joey Neely of Hilham will exchange wedding vows at Maxwell Chapel on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 3:30 p.m.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Melissa Pippin and J.R. Hargis of Monroe. She is the granddaughter of Lonnie and Mary Allred and the great granddaughter of C.D. New-berry and Lucy Newberry.

The future groom is the son of Dean and James Neely of Hilham.
