Livingston Regional Hospital will no longer be able to provide photographs and birth information for publication in the newspaper for babies born June 1 or after. The hospital has noted regret for any inconvenience the change may cause; however, the safety of the babies and their families is a priority at the facility. Individuals who would like to have their baby's photograph and birth information published in Overton County News may call the newspaper at (931) 823-6485 or visit 415 West Main Street in Livingston for further information.

Weddings

Miss Riddle and Mr. Spas exchange May wedding vows

Miss Brandi Shaye Riddle became the bride of Mr. James Richard Spas on May 25 at the home of the groom's parents. Judge James White Jr. officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Johnny and Joann McLerran of Celina and Thomas Riddle of El Paso, TX. She is the granddaughter of James and Betty Crawford of Celina, Robert and Betty Riddle of Burkesville, KY, and Corinbe McLerran of Celina.

She is a 1999 graduate of Celina High School and is attending Tennessee Technological University, majoring in Housing and Design.

The groom is the son of Kenneth and Marsha Spas of Livingston. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard McWhorter and James and Carolyn Spas.

He is a 1998 graduate of Livingston Academy and is the store manager of Advance Auto Parts in Cookeville.

The newlyweds are residing in Livingston.

 

Engagements

Miss Whiteaker and Mr. Thompson to unite in matrimony August 31

Miss Stephanie Whiteaker and Mr. Jim Thompson, both of Livingston, will exchange wedding vows at the First Baptist Church in Livingston Saturday, Aug. 31 at 4 p.m.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Maynord of Livingston and Mr. and Mrs. Clark Whiteaker of Cameron, MO. She is a 1991 graduate of Livingston Academy and attended Tennessee Tech University where she earned a B.S. Degree in Animal Science.

The future groom is the son of Mrs. Joan Thompson of Living-ston and the late Clifton Thompson.

He is a 1991 graduate of Livingston Academy and attended Tennessee Tech University where he earned a B.S. Degree in Operations Management.

All friends and family are invited to attend.

 

Miss Maynard and Mr. Mick to exchange wedding vows August 31

Miss Christina Lasha Maynard of Baxter and Mr. Robert Tony Mick II of Livingston, will exchange wedding vows at Trinity Assembly in Algood Saturday, Aug. 31 at 3 p.m.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Bill and Connie Maynard of Baxter and the granddaughter of Dixie Helms and Jeanetta Maynard of Baxter, and the late George Helms and Gilbert Maynard.

She is a full-time graduate student at Tennessee Tech University pursuing an Educational Science in school counseling and special education teaching certification and is a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

The future groom is the son of Robert and Rita Mick of Livingston and the grandson of Mary Stout of Livingston and Callie Mick of Gainesboro, and the late Dewey Stout and Clay Bowman.

He attended Volunteer State Community College and Tennessee Tech University. He is employed as an advertising consultant for Trader.com in Nashville, TN.

 

Miss Mullins and Mr. Bray to exchange wedding vows October 5

Miss Ashley Brynn Mullins of Livingston and Mr. Wesley Thomas Bray of Moss will exchange wedding vows at the home of the bride's parents on Saturday, Oct. 5.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Jay Simmons of Livingston and Mr. Bryan D. Mullins of Melbourne, FL. She is the granddaughter of Carole Roberts Winningham and Tom and Doris Mullins, all of Livingston, and the late James Willard Winningham. She is a graduate of Middle Tennessee School of Cosmetology and attends Volunteer State Community College.

The future groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jackie Dale Bray of Moss. He is the grandson of Wayne Head of Moss, Mrs. McRuth Bray of Red Boiling Springs, and the late Anna Head and Roy Bray.

He is a 1999 graduate of Tennessee Technological University with a bachelor of science degree in Psychology. He attends Nashville School of Law and is employed by the District Attorney General's Office as a Criminal Investigator.

 

Miss Garrett and Mr. Sizemore to unite in marriage August 10

Miss Casey Angelia Garrett and Mr. Virgil Dean Sizemore Jr., both of Livingston, will exchange wedding vows at Alpine Christ Presbyterian Church Saturday, Aug. 10 at 4 p.m.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Sharon and Mike Garrett of Livingston. She is the granddaughter of Glen and Olene Ledbetter and Gerald and Norma Garrett. She is a graduate of Livingston Academy.

The future groom is the son of Virgil Dean Sizemore of Wilm-ington, NC, Brenda Waller, and the late Beryl Anise Sizemore. He is the grandson of Larry and Phyllis Barclay and the late Mina Phillips and David Sizemore.

He is a graduate of Emsley A. Laney High School in North Carolina.
