Marriage Licenses







Livingston Regional Hospital will no longer be able to provide photographs and birth information for publication in the newspaper for babies born June 1 or after. The hospital has noted regret for any inconvenience the change may cause; however, the safety of the babies and their families is a priority at the facility. Individuals who would like to have their baby's photograph and birth information published in Overton County News may call the newspaper at (931) 823-6485 or visit 415 West Main Street in Livingston for further information.

Miss Vaughn and Mr. Palmer to exchange wedding vows July 30

Miss Carla Vaughn of Hilham and Mr. Jeffrey Palmer of Gainesboro will exchange wedding vows at Standing Stone State Park Tuesday, July 30 at 4 p.m.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Charlotte and Stephen Vaughn of Hilham and the granddaughter of Charles Cooper and Ruth Cooper. She is a 2001 graduate of Livingston Academy.

The future groom is the son of John and Jeanne Palmer of Gainesboro and the grandson of Loraine and Watson Meck.

He is a 2000 graduate of VCA.


Miss Simpson and Mr. Ledford to unite in matrimony August 3

Miss Sarah Beth Simpson of Livingston and Mr. Jamie Keith Ledford of Alpine will exchange wedding vows at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3 at First Christian Church, located at 320 Oakley Street in Livingston.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Travis and Joan Simpson of Livingston. She is the granddaughter of Raymond and Elaine Simpson of Granger, IN, and the late Ona Richardson.

She is a 1997 graduate of A Beka Video Home School and a 2001 graduate of Pensacola Christian College with a bachelor of science degree in Nursing. She is employed at Livingston Regional Hospital.

The future groom is the son of Keith and Gail Ledford of Alpine. He is the grandson of Curt and Betty Allred of Alpine and the late Reva Ledford.

He is a 1995 graduate of Livingston Academy, and he completed Tennessee State Fire School in February 2001. He is employed by Livingston City Fire Department and is a cattle and tobacco farmer.

All family and friends are invited to attend the ceremony.
