Ronald Garrett and Kristi Schutt proudly announce
the birth of their daughter, Jamie Lynn, who was born May
13, 2002. She weighed 6 lbs. 12.9 oz. and measured 18-3/4 inches
in length. She is the granddaughter of Marsha Lund, Dennis Schutt,
Russell Garrett, and Linda Garrett.
Bryan and Julie Melton of Rickman proudly announce
the birth of their daughter, Leah Kate, who was born May
15, 2002. She weighed 7 lbs. 6 oz. and measured 20-1/2 inches in
length. She is the granddaughter of Grant and Jean Mullins and Larry
and Joan Melton.
Stephen and Angela Bilbrey of Byrdstown proudly announce
the birth of their daughter, Laura Abbigayle, who was born
May 5, 2002. She weighed 7 lbs. 1.9 oz. and measured 20 inches in
length. She is the granddaughter of Mike and Diane Bilbrey, James
and Dottie Hill, and Glenn Moody.
Mark and Tabitha Abbott of Rickman proudly announce
the birth of their son, Laken Bryce, who was born May 4,
2002. He weighed 6 lbs. 11 oz. and measured 19 inches in length.
He is the grandson of Dale and Beverly Crossman and Betty Abbott
and the late J.T. Abbott. Also welcoming home the new arrival were
his three brothers, Jordan, Dustin, and David, and two sisters,
Makayla and Heather.
Jonathan Poston and Lorie Moody proudly announce the
birth of their son, Jacob Allen, who was born May 11, 2002.
He weighed 9 lbs. 1 oz. and measured 21 inches in length.
Amanda Faye Cox proudly announces the birth of her
daughter, Madison Paige, who was born May 11, 2002. She weighed
7 lbs. 6.3 oz. and measured 19-3/4 inches in length. She is the
granddaughter of Layton Elmo Cox and Velora Faye Cox.
Livingston Regional Hospital will no longer be able
to provide photographs and birth information for publication in
the newspaper for babies born June 1 or after. The hospital has
noted regret for any inconvenience the change may cause; however,
the safety of the babies and their families is a priority at the
facility. Individuals who would like to have their baby's photograph
and birth information published in Overton County News may call
the newspaper at (931) 823-6485 or visit 415 West Main Street in
Livingston for further information.

vows July 20

Miss Carrie Lee Wilson and Mr. Tyler Davis Smith, both of Livingston,
will exchange wedding vows at Livingston First United Methodist
Church on Saturday, July 20.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randy D. Wilson.
She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Parsons and Mr. and
Mrs. Cleophus Wilson, all of Livingston, and the great granddaughter
of Mrs. Will Presley of Rickman.
She is a graduate of Living-ston Academy and a 2001 graduate of
Tennessee Technological University with a degree in Business Administration.
The future groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan L. Smith of Livingston.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Duncan and Mrs. Nell Smith,
all of James-town, and the late Roy Davis Smith.
He is a graduate of Livingston Academy and a 2002 graduate of Tennessee
Technological University with a degree in Political Science and
History.
A reception will follow the ceremony at Livingston First Baptist
Church's Christian Life Center.
Following the wedding, the couple will reside in Memphis, where
they will attend Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at University
of Memphis.
Miss Needham and Mr. Drew to unite in matrimony
June 29

Miss Melinda Carol Needham and Mr. Jason Todd Drew will exchange
wedding vows at Lakeside Resort in Smithville on Saturday, June
29.
The bride-elect is the daughter of William L. "Bill"
and Carolyn Needham. She is the granddaughter of Nola Mae and Raleigh
Needham and the late Willis and Lucile Langford.
She is a 1995 graduate of Livingston Academy and a 2002 graduate
of Tennessee Technological University.
The future groom is the son of Glenn and Alice Drew of Dothan,
AL. He is the grandson of Macon Blocker and the late Frances Blocker
and Glenn and Kathryn Drew.
He is a 1990 graduate of Wicksburg High School and a 1997 gradute
of the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Miss Ray and Mr. Deck to be united in matrimony
July 27

Miss Courtney Ray and Mr. Josh Deck will exchange wedding vows
Saturday, July 27 at 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in
Livingston.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Donnie and Angela Ray of Allons.
She is the granddaughter of L.H. Ray and the late Bernadine Ray,
Hugh and Jewel Denton, and Claude Keys Jr.
She is a 1996 graduate of Livingston Academy and a 2001 graduate
of Tennessee Technological University. She is working toward a master's
degree in School Counseling at Tennessee Tech and is employed with
Averitt Express.
The future groom is the son of Jim and Marsha Deck of Livingston.
He is the grandson of Glenard and Wilma Hogue, and the late Tom
and Geraldine Deck and Betty Jo Norris.
He is a 1995 graduate of Livingston Academy and is currently employed
at Twin Lakes Telephone Cooperative.
Ms. Hammock and Mr. Rich to exchange June
wedding vows

Ms. Olga Hammock of Livingston and Mr. Frankie R. Rich will exchange
wedding vows Saturday, June 22 at the Lighthouse Church in Rickman
by the Community Center.
The bride-elect is the mother of Scott Hammock and Brinda Crawford.
She is the widow of the late Benton Hammock from Livingston.
The future groom is Frankie R. Rich of Moss, Tennessee. Employed
at Berkline, his recent employment was building log homes. A graduate
of Celina High School, he attended college at St. Mary's of Kansas
and is also a veteran of Vietnam. He is the son of the late Ernest
and Avie Louie Green Rich.
All friends and family are invited. The reception will be held
at Rickman Community Center after the wedding.

Miss Crystal Sue Coffman of Hilham and Mr. Terry Lynn Autrey of

The bride-elect is the daughter of U.L. and Betty Coffman of Hilham.
She is the granddaughter of Mearl Coffman and Hubert and Ardie Hammock.
