Matt and Donna Davis, of Gainesboro, proudly announce
the birth of their daughter, Stephanie Grace, who was born
April 26, 2002. She weighed 7 lbs. 14 oz. and measured 20.5 inches
in length. She is the granddaughter of Tom and Pauline Davis and
Jerry and Evelyn Hill. Also welcoming home the new arrival were
her big brother, Brad, and big sisters, Nicole and Michaela.
Effective June 1, Livingston Regional Hospital
will no longer be able to provide photographs and birth information
for publications in the newspaper. The hospital has noted regret
for any inconvenience the change may cause; however, the safety
of the babies and their families is a priority. Individuals who
would like to have their babyÕs photograph and birth information
published in Overton County News may contact the newspaper at (931)
823-6485 for further information.

Gatlinburg ceremony

Kathy Masters of Allons and Kenny Smith of
Alpine were united in marriage on Saturday, May 25 in Gatlinburg.
The bride is the daughter of Pete and Elizabeth
Reynold of West Virginia.
The groom is the son of Marie Smith of Alpine
and the late Charles Smith.
Family and friends of the couple are invited
to celebrate their union at a cookout Sunday, June 9 at Standing
Stone State Park shelter 5, beginning at 2 p.m.

Miss Smith and Mr. Carwile to unite in marriage
July 20

Miss Myra Smith and Mr. Jacob Carwile will exchange wedding vows
at Alpine Presbyterian Church Saturday, July 20 at 7 p.m.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Randy and Kathy Smith of Livingston.
She is the granddaughter of Estell Smith, Dude and Irene Gilpatrick,
and the late Carl Smith.
She is a 1997 graduate of Livingston Academy and a 2002 radiologic
technologist graduate of Roane State Community College. She plans
to attend an ultrasound program at Chattanooga State Community College
this fall and is employed at Livingston Regional Hospital and Cookeville
Regional Medical Center.
The future groom is the son of Earl and Barbara Carwile of Allons.
He is the grandson of the late Oscar and Nola Carwile and David
and Francis Lassiter.
He is a 1993 graduate of Livingston Academy and a 1999 graduate
of Tennessee Technological University. He is employed at Overton
County Board of Education.
Miss Ray and Mr. Simmons to exchange June
wedding vows

Miss Jamie Lorene Ray and Mr. Danny Titus Simmons will exchange
wedding vows at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 15 at Doyle Church of the
Nazarene.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Clarence Ray and Catherine Ray,
both of Allons.
She is a 1995 graduate of Livingston Academy.
The future groom is the son of Margaret and Walt Herron of Doyle
and Danny and Jamie Simmons of Spencer. He is the grandson of Christine
Horton of Doyle and Robert and Catherine Simmons of Spencer.
He is a 1998 graduate of White County High School.
Miss Mabrey and Mr. Thompson to unite in matrimony
on June 22

Miss Andrea Mabrey and Mr. Josh Thompson will exchange wedding
vows at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 22 at Allons Baptist Church.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Ray and Janie Mabrey of Livingston.
She is the granddaughter of Cormel and O.V. Morrow of Livingston
and the late Clura Hawkins. She is a 1998 graduate of Livingston
Academy and a 2002 graduate of Tennessee Technological University.
The future groom is the son of Jack Thompson of Joplin, MO, and
Mary Thompson of Cookeville. He is the grandson of Dimple Thompson
of Cookeville, Gena Thompson of St. Clarie Shore, MI, the late Willie
Thompson and Glen Thompson.
He is a 1998 graduate of Livingston Academy and is attending Tenenssee
Technological University.
Miss England and Mr. Land to exchange vows
in Louisiana

Miss Jennifer D. England and Mr. Clint R. Land will exchange wedding
vows at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Shreveport, LA, Saturday,
Aug. 3 at 3 p.m.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Louise and Greg Robbins and
Ronnie and Judy England, all of Livingston. She is the granddaughter
of Gerlene England of Livingston and the late Walter England and
Luther and Bessie Murphy.
She is a 1990 graduate of Livingston Academy, a graduate of Tennessee
Technological University, and she also attended the University of
Maryland European Division. She is employed at Providence House
Education Center for Homeless Families.
The future groom is the son of Ben and Julia Claire Land of Dixie,
LA. He is the grandson of Jack and Anna Marie Land of Shreveport
and the late Robert Lee and Julia Effie Nance.
He is a graduate of Centenary College and Louisiana State University
in Shreveport. He also graduated from Loyola College. He serves
as managing editor of the Bossier Press-Tribune.
