Herman Duke, 29, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Duke, died at his home three miles west of Livingston Saturday at 9:15 a.m. He had been sick about four months and recently contracted pneumonia, which resulted in his death. Besides his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Clure and Cordell Duke, and four sisters, Mrs. Hubert Fleming, Effie, Flora, and Reba Duke.

Sam R. Turner, of Byrdstown, is confined to his room this week, suffering with a sprained ankle.

Ike Tidrow, of Bloomington, is real sick.

Mrs. Ernest Amonette, of Boom, was in town last week shopping.

Mrs. Eugene Parris hosted a quilting party recently. Guests were Dona Guffey, Treva Matthews, Laura Robbins, Hattie Parris, Lou Chilton, and Elsie Parris.

Mr. and Mrs. Joel T. Huddleston spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Storie.

Mrs. Ben Elder is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Phillips, of Lillydale, this week.

Little Miss Gracie Story, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dool Storie, is suffering from ivy poison on her face and arms.

Mrs. A.C. Cunningham and Mrs. Dennis Bilbrey, of Rickman, visited Mrs. Jim Wiggins, of Paran, Monday.

Claude Daniels visited Alex Robertson Sunday.
