Mrs. M.D. Miller, 75, died at her home on the south side of the public square in Livingston Saturday after an illness of several weeks. Her husband, a former Livingston merchant, preceeded her to the grave several years ago. She is survived by two sons, John A. Miller, of Livingston; and Dewitt Miller, of Knoxville; and three daughters, Mrs. W.C. Officer, of Monterey, Miss Mary Price Miller, of Livingston, and Mrs. W.A. Bussel. Burial was in the Goodhope Cemetery.

Jewel Barrow and Millard Burgess, of Allons, spent the week-end in Byrdstown and Albany.

Mrs. Mose Seber is ill.

Mrs. W.A. Cole visited her son, Paschall Maynord, last week.

A crowd of young people enjoyed a birthday party given by Cornie B. Davis Wednesday night.

Mrs. Norval Matthews, of Oak Hill, visited E.B. Gray last week.

Miss Velma Stockton, who is taking training at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Stockton in Livingston this week.

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Wells, of Oak Hill, attended the funeral of their uncle, W.T. Spurrier, last week.

Marie Dalton, of Crossville, is visiting her sisters, Mrs. Horace Moredock and Mrs. Estell Dulaney.

On Saturday afternoon, April 30, Mrs. D.H. Maynord entertained for her little daughter, Janie Sue, on her seventh birthday. Guests included Colleen Brown, Betty Reeves Smith, George, Ethel, and Virginia Goolsby, Betty Qualls, Janie Wheat, Ruth Jernigan, Katherine McDonald, Daisy Bell McMillan, Nell Nickens, Francis Sue Dale, Mary Jo Evans, Juanita Ward, Wanda Knight, Anna Maynord, Billy Story, Charles Ray Eastland, Bill Mitchell, James Edison Rowe, Edward Taylor, Sonny Boy Smith, and James Lane Maynord. Mrs. Maynord was helped in entertaining by Mrs. Cato Taylor and Miss Verna Huddleston.

A baby boy was born May 2 to Mr. and Mrs. Joe Copeland.
