Miss Ayers And Mr. White Joined In Matrimony Sept. 22

Miss Amanda Rachelle Ayers, of Hilham, became the bride of Casey Alan White, of Cookeville, Saturday, Sept. 22 at New Hope Community Church in Hilham. Bro. Phillip Morgan officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mike and Tina Ayers of Hilham

The groom is the son of Eddie and Linda White of Cookeville.

Serving as maid of honor was Leslie Dailey, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaid was Jessica Bilbrey, cousin of the bride.

Emma Grace Ayers served as the flower girl.

Serving as best man was Fred Smith, grandfather of the groom. Groomsman was Brandon Ayers, brother of the bride.

Kayden Boles, friend of the bride and groom, served as ring bearer. Seated at the guest register was Alicia O'Conner, friend of the bride.

Music and songs were played and sung by Steven Warren, of Crab Orchard, cousin of the groom.

Wedding coordinator was Nyohia Lanie, of Sparta.

A reception followed the ceremony in the fellowship hall of the church.

The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Pigeon Forge and are now making their home in Hilham.


Miss Smith-Stephenson And Mr. Townshend United In Matrimony October 6

Shana Smith-Stephenson became the bride of Paul Edward Townshend on Saturday, October 6, 2001, during a ceremony officiated by Reverend David Beaty at Alpine Presbyterian Church.

The bride is the daughter of Patricia Stephenson of Hilham, and James H. Smith of the Highland Community. She is the stepdaughter of Phillip Stephenson of Johnson City.

She is the granddaughter of Marty Strang of the Allen Chapel Community and Dallas Smith of the Highland Community.

The groom is the son of William Townshend of Dunedin, FL, and the late Doris (Ayers) Townshend.

The bride and groom are both employed by Southern Color Company in Cartersville, GA.


Miss Moore And Mr. Emerick To Exchange Vows In December

Miss Peggy Moore and Mr. Erik Emerick will exchange wedding vows at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30 at First Christian Church.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Sandra Moore of Livingston and the late John Moore. She is the granddaughter of Myrtle and Horton Moore. She is a student at Livingston Academy.

The groom-to-be is the son of David Emerick and Marilyn Roop, both of Livingston. He is the grandson of Howard and Kathy Mathews of Palm Coast, FL, and Marguerite Emerick of Troy, OH.

He is a 2001 graduate of Livingston Academy.

All friends and relatives are invited to attend the ceremony.


Miss Sauter And Mr. Brown To Be United In Matrimony

Miss Heather Jean Sauter and Mr. John Christopher Brown will exchange wedding vows Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at 3 p.m. at the Garden Inn in Monterey.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Kifer of Clarksville and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bryan R. Howerton of Scarcy, AR.

She will graduate from Tennessee Technological University in December with a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering. She is currently employed as a professor at Middle Tennessee State University.

The future groom is the son of Keith and Jeanette Brown and the grandson of Charlie and Lucille Brown of Hilham and John and Zelma Poston of Jackson County.

He graduated from Tennessee Technological University in 1998 with a bachelor of science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is currently employed by Federal Mogul Corporation.

After a honeymoon trip to Europe, the couple will reside in Murfreesboro.
