Megan Federer of Charleston, SC proudly announces the birth of her daughter, Jacqueline Marie. She weighed 5 lbs. 15oz. She is the great granddaughter of Grady Strang of Hilham.

Rocky Carr and Hayley Deaton proudly announce the birth of their son, Jacob Warren, who was born Oct. 2, 2001, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. His grandparents are Donald and Pamela Savage, Rocky Carr, Sr., and Randy and Diane Deaton. He is the great grandson of Zona Carr, Harvey and Kaye Redic, Anna Halterman, and Doris Deaton.

Miss Linder And Mr. Wood United In Marriage

Miss Pamela Lynn Linder given in marriage by her father, became the bride of Brandon Kyle Wood on Saturday, July 28, during a 2 p.m. ceremony officiated by Bro. Marlon Winningham at the Alpine Presbyterian Church.

The bride is the daughter of Sylvester and Louise Linder of Livingston.

The groom is the son of William and Tonya Reeder of Monroe and Claude and Cheryl Wood of Norman, Oklahoma. Serving as maid of honor was Rachel Davis, friend of the bride.

Serving as brides maid was Ashley Wright, friend of the bride. Natosha Anderson, niece of the bride, served as flower girl.

Serving as best man was Matt Johnson, friend of the groom. Groomsmen was Jessie Taylor.

Ushers were Jacob Harvey and Donovan Duke, friends of the groom.

Seated at the guest register was Jennifer Ledbetter, friend of the bride.

Denise Wright played the piano and Ashley Wright sang.

The reception was held at the church.

After a brief honeymoon in Gatlinburg, the bride and groom now reside in Monroe.



Miss Goodlin And Mr. Lewis United In Marriage Sept. 22

Miss Christy Jo Goodlin, of Powell, given in marriage by her father, became the bride of Mr. Ryan Curtis Lewis, of Monterey, on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Dr. Thomas Sweet officiated the 4 p.m. double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Joe and Lorene Goodlin of Powell and the granddaughter of Willard and Dorothy Spoon, Dorothy Goodlin, and the late Ralph Goodlin.

She is a graduate of Powell High School and is employed with Tennessee Technological East Tennessee Discovery Center with Knox County Schools.

The groom is the son of Art and Sherril Lewis of Monterey and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Carr and Mr. and Mrs. Amos Lewis.

He is a graduate of Livingston Academy and is currently employed with Tennessee Technological Master Craft Boats in Vanore.

Flowers decorated the altar and were in memory of the late grandparents of the bride and groom.

Serving as matron of honor was Wendy Cagle, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Dee Lewis, Michelle Curley, Cathy Curley, Anita Brown, Bridget Eggert, and Malynda Strick-land. Meriam Maynord, daughter of Billy and Esther Maynord, served as flower girl.

Serving as best man was Matt Brown. Groomsmen were Cory Dugger, Chris Cagle, John Hoskins, Shawn Hughes, Jonathan Norris, and Scott Watson. Cameron Cagle, son of Chris and Wendy Cagle, served as ring bearer.

A reception followed the ceremony at Beaver Creek Country Club.

The couple honeymooned at Honolulu, HI, and currently reside in Maryville.


Miss Burnette And Mr. Smith To Exchange Wedding Vows

Miss Cera Layn Burnette and Mr. Jeremiah Quentin Smith will exchange wedding vows lake-side Saturday, Oct. 20 at Tompkinsville City Park in Kentucky at 1 p.m. in the afternoon.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eddy Burnette. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Johnson of Byrdstown, the late Louis Randall Wilson, and George Thomas and Elise Kendall Burnette.

The future groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie L. Smith of Moss. He is the grandson of Mrs. Dean Smith, the late Turner Smith, and Robert and Bernice Workman.

All friends and family are invited to attend the ceremony. A reception will follow at the lakeside.



Miss Martin, Mr.Williams To Exchange Vows

Miss Lisa Martin of Rickman and Mr. Terry (Huggy) Williams of Rickman will exchange wedding vows at Rickman First Baptist Church at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20.

The bride-elect is the daughter of James and Joyce Monday of Clarkrange and the granddaughter of the late Herman and Lizzy Monday and Raymond and Elsie Garrett.

The future groom is the son of Donnie Williams of Algood and Joann Hargis of Rickman and the grandson of Pearl Williams of Rickman and the late Dow Williams, and Margie Garrett of Livingston and the late Carson Lee.
