Ricky D. and Patty Smith of Monroe proudly announce
the birth of their twins, Lucas "Luke" Royal and Gracie
Earline, who were born August 25, 2001. They weighed 6 lbs.
9 oz. and 5 lbs. 15.1 oz. and were 19-1/2 inches long and 19 inches
long, respectively. They are the grandchildren of Dwayne and Polly
Smith of Monroe and the late George and Earline Ford. Also welcoming
home the new arrivals were sister, Aspen, and brother, Jake.
Aubrey Wayne Murphy and Michelle Walker of Livingston
proudly announce the birth of their daughter, Cheyenne Lea,
who was born August 23, 2001. She weighed 7 lbs. 10.4 oz. and was
20-3/4 inches long. She is the granddaughter of Faye Marshall Murphy,
Loma Coleman, and Roy Crabtree.

Miss Randolph & Mr. Johnson United In Marriage
Miss Sarah Randolph, given in marriage by
Steve Williams, became the bride of Mr. Ernest Gene Johnson Saturday,
Aug. 4 at the home of the bride’s mother, Avo Edmonds. Dewey Masters
officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony.
The bride attended Hardy’s Chapel School and
currently works at Overton County Nursing Home.
The groom is the son of Dolley Johnson.
Serving as maid of honor was Evelyn Geesling,
of Greenbrier, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Missy Hooten,
of Greenbrier, and Bonnie Moody and Christy Edmonds, both of Hardy’s
Chapel. Anndarel Jones, daughter of Beth Moody, served as flower
Serving as best man was Mike Honeycutt, of
Livingston, friend of the groom. Brandon Hooten, of Greenbrier,
was usher. Zac Fillers, son of Kim Fillers, was the ring bearer.
A reception followed the ceremony. Debbie
Moody kept the register and provided catering.
The couple now resides at Hilham.
