Donald E. Conatser
Funeral services for Mr. Donald E. Conatser, 74, of Livingston, were conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Ziehmer officiating. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Conatser died Monday, Dec. 17 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a retired engineer for the Tennessee Department of Transportation, a member of the First Christian Church, and a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII.

Born January 2, 1927, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Emmitt and Metta (Hill) Conatser. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Charlene Ray.

Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Morris Guthrie, Owensboro, KY; two nieces, Janie Lilly, Ankorage, KY, and Rebecca Farr, Marietta, GA; and a nephew, Stephen Guthrie, Lexington, KY. Pallbearers were Danny Clark, James Bud Cantrell, Bobby Miller, Billy Conatser, Larry King, Allen Linder, Brent Linder, and Thedford Jenkins.

 

Ruby Colene (Hammock) Wilson
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Colene (Hammock) Wilson, 66, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001, from the chapel of Rickman Funeral Home with Eddie Hargis officiating. Burial was in Okolona Cemetery with Rickman Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Wilson died Friday, Dec. 14 at Cookeville Regional Hospital.

Born May 22, 1935, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Martha J. (Neal) Hammock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Wilson; a son, Jefferey Wilson; four sisters; and five brothers.

Survivors include two daughters, Marsha Claborn, Buffalo Valley, and Brenda Fournerat, Oklahoma; two sons, Phillip "Flip" Wilson, Allons, and Bruce Wilson, Cookeville; four sisters, Joyce Coffman, Birdie Presley, and Georgia Stewart, all of Rickman, and Vonda Cooper, Glas-gow, KY; three brothers, Clyde Hammock, Texas, Ray Hammock, Allons, and Roy Hammock, Greenbrier; 7 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Gary Walker, Donald Wilson, Jay Coffman, Kenny Johnson, Denny Jackson, and Brandon Wilmoth.
