The SheriffÕs Explorers has been busy decorating the
town square with lights, as the Christmas season fastly approaches.
The group annually volunteers to brighten up the
square for the holidays. Livingston city employees will also be
decorating throughout the area during the next few days with banners
and wreaths.

Results In Fatality On Thanksgiving
A 43 year-old man was killed around 12:45 p.m. Thanksgiving
Day in a single-vehicle accident that occurred on Dry Hollow Road.
According to reports, a 1995 GMC pick-up driven by
Larry James Harris, of the Dry Hollow Community, was travelling
westbound on Dry Hollow Road when the vehicle entered but failed
to negotiate a curve.
The vehicle reportedly crossed to the opposite lane
of the highway, struck a utility pole, and overturned, coming to
rest on its top. Harris was ejected from the vehicle.
No passengers were riding in the vehicle at the time
of the accident.
THP Trooper James Sells, along with officers from
Overton County SheriffÕs Department, responded to the scene.

Christmas
Parade Set For Saturday
The 2001 Christmas Parade will be held Saturday, Dec.
1 at 3:30 p.m. The parade will begin at the intersection of Highway
42 and Highway 294 near Livingston Limestone, continue on 294 to
the intersection of Highway 52 (East Main Street) and continue on
to Broad Street, passing across the square and turning onto Oak
Street, ending at the intersection of Oak and First streets just
beyond Livingston Regional Hospital.
Line-up will begin at 1:30 p.m. on the Bradford-Hicks
bypass (Highway 42) from the intersection of Highway 294 back toward
the Tennessee Technology Center at Livingston.
