G.I. Babb and Jim Cowan, of Love Lady, each had a wagon load of melons in town Saturday and were very successful in the sale of the same.

Misses Floie and Reba Duke spent Monday with their sister, Mrs. Hubert Fleming.

Mrs. Jim Carr arrived home from Detroit Monday.

Lucy Kirby is spending a few days with her sister, Mrs. Ernest Reed.

Mr. and Mrs. Will Gleason were in town shopping Monday.

Mrs. Davidson and Miss Ida Swallows, of Cleveland, Ohio, are spending a few weeks with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Swallows.

Herman Carr, of Springfield, spent last week with his parents.

Former Livingston Resident Killed In Dallas, Texas Mrs. Marion Crabtree, of Livingston, received a telegram Tuesday stating that her brother, George W. Winningham, of Dallas, Texas, died that morning as the result of an accident. The particulars have not been learned. Born near Allos, Mr. Winningham leaves a wife, Cora Dennis Winningham; and two children, J.W. Winningham and Mrs. Rosa Simpson, Dallas, Tx.; a brother, Herman Winningham, Allons; three sisters, Mrs. Marian Crabtree, Livingston, Mrs. N.A. Wilson, Dallas, Tx., and Mrs. Fowler Watson, Monticello, Ky.

Oliver Webb is having a well dug.

Oscar Reid, of Sulphur, has returned from Old Hickory. OBITUARY Shird Keeton Garrett was born October 26, 1856. He died August 3, 1931. He was 74 years, 9 months, and 23 days old. He married Tennie Winningham June 27, 1880. To this union, 12 children were born. He is survived by his wife, 8 children, 29 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. His living children are Fate Garrett, Susan Hicks, Etter Smith, George Garrett, Joe Garrett, Ruth White, and Keeton Garrett. Mr. Garrett was nice and kind to all who knew him and leaves a host of relatives and friends to mourn his loss.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Story, of Moodyville, on August 6, a baby girl.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Coe, of Byrdstown, on August 10, a baby girl.

Little Miss Nonna Gene Norrod, of Sinking Cane, is visiting her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Porter Reid.

Stanley Carr, of Willow Grove, and daughter, Mary Francis, visited his mother, Mrs. Susan Carr.
