The increase in percentage of divorces is not due to divorces when there is no need of them, but marriages when they are not advisable.

Mr. and Mrs. R.T. Webb visited Mr. and Mrs. F.M. Tayes Sunday.

Elbert Ogletree's mother has pneumonia.

John Morgan lost a fine milk cow with lung fever.

Carlos Garrett and daughter, Arlene, visited her grandmother, Mrs. G.S. Hinds, Friday and Saturday.

Mrs. Oscar Stone of near Windle visited her sister, Mrs. Mounce Hawkins, Monday.

Dewey Vance and others are buying quite a number of hogs in Hilham.

Quitman Brady has bought a piece of land from T.W. Carlock, lying between the York highway and Windle road near Lum Fleming's and is building a store house. He also intends building a dwelling house to move to near the store.

Mrs. J.B. Poston is improving.

Someone seems to have a spite at dogs in Livingston, R-4. Booze Nivens' dog was shot and has not been seen for almost a week. T.W. Carlock and Dewey Ledbetter's dogs have been shot.

Hazel Ledbetter and Lois Langford visited Maude Davis Friday afternoon.

Bub Eldridge and Lena Sevier were married recently.

Mrs. Dallie Johnson was in Cave Spring Sunday.

Robert Lee was the guest of Clarence Hoover Sunday.

Bertha Brown was home last week-end.
