Livingston Academy completed a 6-5 season a week ago with a 30-13
loss to Chattanooga-Brainerd. The Wildcats lose 21 seniors from
the 2000 team and the NEWS will take a look at their career in next
This week, the focus is on the final statistics from the past year,
which saw the Wildcats qualify for their 6th straight TSSAA playoff
appearance and their 10th appearance in the past 12 seasons.
The individual standout in the statistical totals of 2000 is Josh
Parsons, who gained 829 yards rushing to move into third place on
the school's all-time rushing list with 2,994 yards.
His twin brother James Parsons had 621 total yards and led the
team in tackles with 107. Josh added 84 total stops giving him 208
in his career. James finished with 218 tackles.
Brandon Smith led the team with 8 tackles for loss and was third
in total tackles with 65 giving him 150 for his career.
Robert Richardson completed his career with 2,393 passing yards,
while Andy Allred led the team in receptions with 22 and also had
2 interceptions that he returned for touchdowns.
Junior Jonathan Cummings ended the season with 852 total yards
averaging 8.5 yards per touch and will be the team's returning leader
Junior wide receiver Jesse Wolfram led the team in receiving yards
with 306 and will also be expected to step in big next year.
The leading returning tackler will be sophomore Michael Hayes,
who had 63 total stops while Cummings and free safety Josh Cravins,
a junior, had 5 interceptions each in 2000.
