Two Teams Reach 12 Wins In Men's Softball League

Huckeby Construction and Witt/Berkline both reached the 12 win mark with last week's continuance of the Overton County Men's Softball League after a week of rain. Game scores from last week are as follows:

Wednesday, June 28
Crossville Ford won by forfeit over Highways Inc.

Huckeby Construction 23, D&R Paving 3
Huckeby Construction - Kenny Tayse 4 for 4 with a home run, Andy Parsons 4 for 4, Waylon Ledbetter 3 for 3 with a home run, and Chris Story hit a home run. D&R Paving - Jason Vaughn 2 for 2, and Kyle Spears 2 for 2.

Witt/Berkline 17, W.E. Sports/Maxwell 16
Witt/Berkline - Terry Kingery 4 for 4, Russell Wattenbarger 3 for 4 with a home run, Billy Witt 3 for 4, and David Jackson 3 for 4. West End Sports/Gary Maxwell Insurance - Randy Wilson 4 for 5, John Brooks 4 for 5, David Moore 4 for 5, Mark Lee 4 for 5, and Scott Barlow hit a home run.

Champion of the Overton County Little League Tournament is the Union Bank team: Eddie Morrow, Zack Ramsey, Brett Roddy, Blair Monday, Brandon Matthews, Todd Smith, Robbie Ledbetter, Jordan Dulworth, Rex Dale, Raliegh Thompson, Jermey Murphy, and coaches Joey Smith, Michael Matthews, and Daniel Roddy.

Champion of the Overton County Little League 2000 regular season is the Livingston Regional Hospital team: Kavan McAlpin, Cory Presswood, Will Peterman, Ethan Hammonds, Gary Massengile, Blake McCormick, Kylor Allred, Cody Matthews, Clint Durham, Johnathon Sullivan, Lucas Holt, coaches David Holt, Jim Beaty, Robbie Matthews, Josh Long and Timmy Ledbetter.

Runner-up of the Overton County Little League 2000 regular season and the Overton County Little League Tournament is the First National Bank team: Jeremy Reeder, Kevin Scott, Michael Thomas, Randy Boswell, B.J. Overton County 12 year-old Little League All-Stars are Travis Murphy, Tyler Sells, Tyson Stover, Dustin Boles, John Florea, coach Gary Gilbert, Mark Barnet, Brian Scott, Kurt Gilbert, Brandon Matthews, Jamey Vaughn, and coach Michael Matthews.

Overton County 11 year-old Little League All-Stars are John Lucas White, Brad Jolley, Jordan Dulworth, Daniel Elder, Andrew Neff, Todd Smith, Josh Carwile, Levi Holt, Ryan Bowman, Jake Reeder, Matthew Lee, coaches Joey Smith, Mark White, and Gib Jolley.

Overton County 8-9 year-old Little League All-Stars are Derrick Poston, Hayden Hill, Adam Dodson, Nick Robbins, Colton Cross, Jacob Collins, Lee Gatts, Josh Looper, Adam Wilson, Clint West, Josh Wilson, coaches Mark Houser, Kelly Hill, and Ricky Dodson.
