Wayne Webb is teaching a singing school in Hilham.

J.C. Carr had a party Friday night. Present were: Dorce Bledsoe, Hallie Wilson, Leona Gore, Eddie Nealy, Oleen Nealy, Oather Williams, Joe Williams, Pearl Williams, Connie Stewart, Felix Stewart, Allison Stewart, Flora Greenwood, Clure Dillon, Vester Neely, and Cordell Neely.

Mr. Bill Boles, of Hilham, spent Wednesday night with his sister, Mrs. Booze Nivens.

Mr. Sewell Pennington spent Wednesday and Thursday with J.P. Neely.

Willie Swan moved to his new home.

Ethel and Dimple Stone were in Livingston last week.

Mrs. Bertha Brown is going to work in the new orphan's home in Oak Grove.

Mr. and Mrs. John A. Gunnels are the proud parents of a baby boy.

Mrs. Mattie Garrett, of Rickman, spent Christmas day with her father, Mr. J.M. Brown.

Mrs. Beatrice Buck is recovering from a bad case of influenza.

Miss Lola Holt, member of the 8th grade in Allons, is out of school this week on account of illness.

Miss Orpha Ledbetter, who is attending school in Allons, spent the Christmas holidays with homefolks near Oakley.

Alfalfa stood the drought better than any other crop.

Mr. Kelley Hunter is seriously sick.

Edith, Alpha, and Dimple Ferril spent last week with their grandfather, Mr. J.M. Brown.

Mrs. Ollie Gore has been seriously sick for several days.

Mrs. Ellie Hoover visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Davis, last week.

Mrs. O.V. Garrett, of Cedar Grove, visited her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sib Peterman, last week.

T.P. Allen is moving to his mill and Alfred Barlow will move to the farm vacated by Allen.

Ridley Barlow has moved to Tom Langford's farm on the Roaring River.
