Babies
Frank and Karen Clough of Monroe proudly announce the birth of their
daughter, Haley Elizabeth Ann, who was born May 4, 1999.
She weighed 7 lbs. 10 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. Proud grandparents
are Desta Anent of Monroe and Jack and Liz Culver of Arcadia, IN.
Also welcoming home the new arrival were big sister Tiffany, Holly,
and Abigail.

Miss Cole And Mr. Mercer Exchange May 1st
Vows
Shannon R. Cole became the bride of
Bradley J. Mercer Saturday, May 1, 1999, at Holy Trinity Church
in Dayton, OH, with Rev. George Zvonar officiating the 6 p.m. double-ring
ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of the late Thomas
ÒEddieÓ and Helen Cole. She is the granddaughter of Florence Redmon
of Wartburg, Irene Cole of Allons, and the late James Redmon and
Thomas Owen Cole.
The groom is the son of Karen and Joe Mercer
of Dayton, OH. He is the grandson of George and Corella Mercer.
The church was decorated in ivy and silk ivory
ribbons.
The bride which wore an ivory Vera Wang silk
and satin dress and a Crystal Fenaroil tiara caged veil and carried
ivory roses and lillies of the valley was given in marriage by Cathy
Parsons and Kelley Roberts, sisters of the bride.
Serving as maid of honor was friend of the
bride Robin Stratton, and bridesmaids were friends of the bride
Christy Harris, Livingston, Misty Hunter, Livingston, and Dawn Harvey,
Sparta, which all wore navy silk suit dresses with rhinestone buttons
and carried pink roses and hydrangena.
Flower girls were Jaime Withrow, Chelsea Withrow,
and Ashley Withrow, cousins of the groom, which carried pink roses.
Serving as best man was a friend of the groom
Drew Stratton, and groomsmen were brother-in-law of the groom Craig
Newberg, cousin of the groom Donnie Herres, and father of the groom
Joe Mercer.
The mother of the groom wore a pink floor-length
suit and carried ivory roses. Cayce Parsons and Jennifer Roberts,
nieces of the bride, kept the guest register.
A reception was held at Benghams Grove in
Centerville, OH, with the brideÕs table consisting of a three tier
ivory cake with raspberries.
The couple honeymooned in the Western Carribean.
She is a 1986 graduate of Livingston Academy,
a medical technician in 1992 at the Cumberland School of Technology,
and is currently an aesthetician for Creative Images.
He is a 1988 graduate of Bellbrobz High School,
a 1992 graduate with a B.S. in criminal justice from the University
of Dayton, OH, a 1998 graduate from the police academy in Dayton,
OH, and is currently a Dayton police officer.
The couple will reside in Dayton, OH.

Miss Hawkins And Mr. Jones To Exchange August
14 Vows
Thomas and Wilma Hawkins of Goodlettsville and formerly of
Livingston announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their
daughter, Shana Lenea, to Donald Ray Jones II, son of Timothy and
Judy Reasonover of Hendersonville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Robert and Annis Ledbetter
of Livingston and the late John T. Hawkins Jr. and Charlyne Hawkins
Daws.
The groom is the grandson of Billy and Mattie Butler of White House
and Robert and Mary Reasonover Jr. of Goodlettsville, and the great
grandson of Mrs. Robert Reasonover Sr. of Goodlettsville.
She is a graduate of Beech High School and is currently a senior
at Western Kentucky University pursuing a bachelor of fine arts
degree in graphic design.
He is a 1996 graduate of Beech High School and is pursuing an
architectural design degree at Western Kentucky University. He is
currently employed at Pepsi Bottling Company in Bowling Green.
The wedding is planned for 5 p.m. Saturday, August 14 at Beech
Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Hendersonville.

Miss Beaty And Mr. Hargis To Exchange July
31 Vows
Mr. and Mrs. David Beaty announce the engagement and forthcoming
marriage of their daughter, Myra Kristina, to Greg Edward Hargis,
son of Mrs. Boyd Cantrell of Rickman and the late Edward Elmer Hargis.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Alice Carmel Norris, Chloe
J. Beaty, and the late B.V. (Toby) Norris and Hobson Beaty.
The groom is the grandson of Leron Presley and the late A.T. Presley
and Edward and Icey Hargis.
She is a 1993 graduate of Livingston Academy.
He is a 1995 graduate of Livingston Academy.
Both are currently enrolled in the nursing program at Tennessee
Technological University.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 31 at 1 p.m. at Christ
Church Presbyterian in Alpine.
All family and friends are invited to attend.

and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Miss Amy McDonald, to
Mr. Jamie Loftis, son of Joyce Loftis of Livingston and James Loftis
of Leitchfield, KY.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Cloyd (Skeets)
and Myrtle McDonald and Cecil and Lillian Crabtree.
The groom is the grandson of the late Robert and Willie Nolen and
Ruby Loftis and the late Clifton Loftis.
She is a 1995 graduate of Livingston Academy and will be a 1999
graduate of Tennessee Technological University with a bachelor of
science degree in elementary education. She is currently employed
in the purchasing department at Averitt Express in Cookeville.
He is a 1992 graduate of Livingston Academy and a 1998 graduate
of Tennessee Technological University with a bachelor of science
degree in history and a teaching certificate in secondary education.
He is currently employed at Lowes in Cookeville.
The wedding is planned for 2 p.m., Saturday, July 17, 1999, at
Flatt Creek Church of Christ in Hilham. All family and friends are
invited to attend.
